I bought these to keep in my bedroom closet in those dark corners. The light immediately detects movement and turns on as soon as I enter. I like that the lights are mounted on a magnetic strip so they can be easily removed when the 4 AA batteries need to be replaced. We've now taped a strip under the sink to better see what cleaning products are buried there, and in the kitchen pantry to better see the sheer volume of snacks we stockpile during our local member trades. The light comes on in both places as soon as the doors are opened. The only thing that might make you think about this product is that the magnetic strip sticks to walls and doors in the traditional way. If it ever needs to be removed, it will most likely take the paint with it. I would highly recommend this product, but I also strongly recommend that you know exactly where to go and know that you will be needing them there for the foreseeable future.
