My 8 year old was obsessed with these lights. He's very technical, so now he wants to know how they work. They change color, follow the pattern, and turn his room into a techno dance! He is enthusiastic. They have tape on the back so they stick to the wall. They also come with wall mounts if you need them. He's happy, I'm happy.
