It's decent. Some settings have really good vibrations. Some, on the other hand, I think you would say quickly, so they make a higher pitched sound. What usually happens if they ever do this is that it mainly numbs the skin but doesn't really affect the muscles in any way. At least it doesn't help me. Then there's the fact that I swore he said a whisper, it really isn't, it's not very loud, but I wouldn't call it a low whisper. Then you have settings that vibrate at a lower sound level. They hurt, the skin is numb, and most of the time they seem to be penetrating the muscles. Not the best I've used, but overall good. Most of them are intermittent or changing settings. As with all such massagers, some are good and some are not. Sometimes it's about which muscle hurts how, or how stiff and sore I am. For the most part, this is a pretty good massager. A little above mid-road but there are a few things that could be changed to make it much better. It doesn't take much to make it to the top.
