Bought these shorts for my friend who is a personal trainer and weight lifter. Visually, these shorts looked and felt much better than regular sportswear brands. The dark charcoal color was great, the 8 inch stitching was perfect and the reflective strip was bright even when trying them on during the day. However, the fabric had surprisingly little flexibility. He weighs 185 pounds and has a true 31-inch waist. with wider hips, so I ordered medium, but there was no stretch at the hips, and the seam in the crotch ripped not only while standing, let alone crouching and moving. They were returned same day and while I considered trying it on in L or XL instead I can't justify the price when Target's M shorts that fit cost the same or less. If you're slimmer, just order a size or two up. If you have hips or an athletic build I'm not sure if these will suit you.
