Review on Lisle 57030 Standard Filter Swivel by Andrew Choukline

As an auto mechanic at General Motors I need a larger wrench for diesel fuel filters and oil filters. Belt wrenches are inherently simple in design and there aren't many differences between brands, but the Lisle filter wrench stands out like a beacon of gold. The handle is very ergonomic, the wrench itself will not bend or "squeeze" under extreme pressure, the welded gripping surfaces on the strap itself are essential for loosening Duramax fuel filters without removing the wing. I've struggled with many different strap wrenches from rigging, macs and matco tools - I'm paying 5x more for something that's initially flimsy and doesn't last more than a year before the entire strap flexes and I can't apply pressure , without crushing the filter. This is by far the most durable, comfortable and useful filter wrench I have ever had and I expect it to last. Incredible value. I wish I had bought earlier.
