We're using these heart-shaped gummies as treats! She likes Purina's Dental Life, but it doesn't freshen breath like Ark Naturals, which are much smaller. Both are made in the USA. The green outer part of the kernel contains chlorophyll, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves and also has ridges that contribute to the abrasiveness. The interior contains toothpaste for "plaque, tartar and bacteria control". No wheat, corn, soy, yeast, or artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. My guess for the number of chews in a 4 ounce pack is 40. The pack says it's for dogs 12 weeks and older, but it can be given to cats. It's called brushless toothpaste, but we use it as a complement to brushing, not as a substitute. The vet says there is no product that performs the same functions as a real cleanse. I am a regular customer and would recommend them although they are more expensive than the Purina product which we also buy and give away for a change every once in a while.
