Real World Comparison of Ice Seal N Shine, Nu Finish and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic

10 Week Update: Silver car photo above shows water droplets after 10 weeks of using (2 coats) Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic On spray another vehicle. Used again today. Very easy to use. Can be applied to black surfaces. nice smell Nice shine after application. I will probably use this product as paint protection. 4 week update: Second photo is 4 week update after washing and water spraying. The car has been outside in the rain for the last 4 weeks. It rained about half the day. Nu Finish is missing completely. Ice Seal N Shine and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic are as good as gone. For each of them there are several small water stains. I would say all 3 products failed. Overall very disappointing with all 3 products and not with the results claimed by 'professional' reviewers of these products. I don't know why the durability was so bad. Maybe it's because I didn't prepare the paint (no decontamination, no clay, etc.) other than washing. But the reality is that most people will not professionally prep the paint before applying it. In this situation, perhaps the cheapest and easiest to use product wins - Ice Seal N Shine. Conclusion: 1) All 3 products didn't last more than 4 weeks which is very disappointing - I may look at other products once I've used up my stash of these 2) Nu Finish: by far the worst of the 3 products. I think I'm done with Nu Finish and won't buy it again. It's short-lived (this bottle at least) and has the main disadvantage of leaving white marks on black trim and rubber - a lot of cars these days have lots of black trim. 3) Seal N Shine: I think this could be the winner. Of the three products, it is the easiest to apply, can be applied to black surfaces, and is much less expensive when compared to Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic. 2) Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic: Has slightly more shine and smoothness compared to Seal N Shine. (both much better than Nu Finish). If that's the most important feature for you, then maybe it's for the best. However, for me it is more expensive and was a bit more difficult to apply. I would have put up with these shortcomings if he had lasted longer, but no such luck. So he loses to Seal N Shine. First Review: Decided to compare Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coat to Nu Finish and Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine. I washed my 10 year old minivan with Meguiar's Gold Grade Car Wash Shampoo and dried it with a microfiber towel. I didn't do any other preparation for painting. Applying Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine on the left side of the hood, Nu Finish in the middle and Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating on the right side. Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine is the easiest to apply. Simply spray on, then wipe with a clean microfiber cloth and buff with another microfiber cloth. don't strip. Looks and feels shiny. Nu Finish is rubbed down with a slightly damp cloth, allowed to dry and then buffed with a clean microfiber cloth. It takes more time and effort than Seal N Shine, especially for the whole car. Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray is a bit trickier than Seal N Shine unless you follow the directions. On the first try (on a different machine) I used too much and towards the end of the application I used the towel because it got soaked. There were streaks on the paint and trim that I had to polish out with a damp microfiber cloth. This problem has never happened to me with Seal N Shine. In terms of the end result, Seal N Shine and Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating look the same. They are both shiny and smooth. Nu Finish is slightly less smooth and less shiny. I'll try to remember to update this based on durability. Conclusion: - Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine: very easy to apply, smells nice, can be used on trim and paintwork, high gloss finish - Nu Finish: takes longer to apply (apply, let dry then buff), shiny finish (but not as shiny as Seal N Shine and Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating) has the major disadvantage of white spots on black paintwork, rubber and plastics (because if you pick up too much when applying it creates streaks), smells good, can be used on moldings and paintwork , glossy finish.
