Review on White Waterpik SM-651 Handheld Shower Massager by Chris Pinkney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price, easy installation.

EDIT: Owned the old unit until I forgot to take it with me on the go. A new device of the same model was purchased in the summer of 2018 and works perfectly. So far I am very satisfied with these devices. I have owned this item for about three weeks. I'm impressed with the build quality and, as others have noted, the ease of removing the water limiting filter. Installation was extremely easy, the hardest part was trying to straighten the hose that came with it. I dangled the nozzle and used gravity to reverse the "memory" effect the tubing had when it was rolled up in the packaging. This is typical and not at all alarming. The actual operation of the device leaves no room for complaints. I tested it with water the day after installation and was happy there were no leaks. I still have no leaks and 100% of the water goes into the shower head. This bothered me as the hose based system added two extra points for potential leaks, but the included rubber washers do their job well. the holstered position is not a problem. For those who want more reach, I would suggest that a fridge water line or other threaded and cross reinforced plastic line rated at 30-55 psi would work just fine, but I'm not a plumber and prices vary by state and Community , and even home/facility so this would be a question for the plumber (if you are a plumber with information on this please reply to this review and I will edit it and give you credit). Mechanically, however, it seems quite feasible to connect a longer hose between the "base" and "head" parts of this device. Overall, this device performs surprisingly well for the price paid and feels a lot less flimsy than feared. The goalkeeper.
