To start off, these are sturdy pots, and in that respect was exactly what we were looking for to start some plants that needed a bit more root space. We want to make sure that they are easily reused year to year, and the stronger plastic should hold up nicely to multiple year's worth of use.But the elephant in the room is that these are NOT 3 inch pots. From my photo, you can tell that they are 2.75 inches square. This means that in a standard 1020 tray, they fit 3 rows by 7 columns with a lot of slop to move around. This makes the tray difficult to move around as a unit, or to do bottom watering, because the soil volume in the tray is less than if the fit were more snug.I will not return them, but I am still looking for a solution for our needs for roomier starting cells and for minor up potting.
