I'm a size 5T and they were a little big for my 5 year old (who normally wears a 5T). I was disappointed until I saw an internal elastic with buttonholes on either side of the waistband - this allowed me to tighten the pants and now they fit perfectly. It also means they can be loosened up as he gets bigger, which is great. The material is thick and durable, and the camouflage design is very bright. I really like these shorts.
