This dog backpack saved the day we took our 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier on the 8 mile hike to Poo Poo Point. He has a lot of energy despite his age, but at some point he slowed us down, so he joined the pack. He didn't squirm or try to get out, even though he had never been in a pack before. The backpack is durable and the dog was comfortable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the straps kept coming loose and the dog kept getting lower and lower. Next time we use a backpack we'll take a closer look and see if there's a way to stabilize the straps.
