I purchased the deck guard to keep our small dog on our deck. She only weighs 10 pounds, 2 ounces and is full grown. Unfortunately she figured out quickly how to get through the deck slates and escape which lead to me chasing her and usually tricking her to get her in. Our dachshund on the other hand is too big to slip through the slates and loves to sit in the sun on the deck, especially in spring and fall. I either had to keep our little dog in or find a solution. I'm happy to say that this deck guard has done the trick! We purchased the clear deck guard and put it on the two gate decks, which was easy to do, and she can no longer escape! Now they both can enjoy the lovely weather with or without me. All I need to do is put some water in their outside water dish and they are happy yappers!
