Review on Convenient Ciro Big Ass Drink Holder (Black) - No Mount Required! by James Morrow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding in almost every way

This is an amazing cup holder (which should be given the award). It's designed to be mounted on a motorcycle, but I actually bought it to mount on my laptop's mount in my police car, which completely lacks cup holders. It mounts perfectly with a universal pipe mount (just a hose clamp and a ball mount). The mounting nut is easy to remove, the holder is placed on the ball mount with moderate effort, and then the mounting nut quickly fixes it. The bracket itself looks very high quality in every respect. The black bezel around the top is (I think) high quality, thick, durable plastic. It is polished and almost looks like light metal. The bracket underneath is made of thick and high quality rubber. It flexes quite a bit but is still pretty solid and able to support its own weight. The rubber grips your mug well when you pull it out of the holder. I would have preferred it to hold up a bit less considering it's quite deep and I installed it in the car, but considering it's designed for motorcycles I can't complain too much about that. The size is perfect for large drinks and fits into almost any large beverage cup. In the attached photo, I have a large Chick-fil-A mug in the holder. The rubber on the holder actually grips the bottom of the cup before touching the bottom of the holder. So you have to push the cup down with some force if you want it to be completely on the bottom of the holder, but it stays on. just great anyway. I think that cups with a huge base also hold up very well as long as the bowl isn't very high. The only thing that bothers me about this cup holder is the "female" part under the mounting nut that goes over the "male" ball. To install. The die is plastic and since the die has to flex outwards a bit as it passes through the ball mount, I can imagine this part tiring and breaking as you remove the mount from the mount multiple times. In general, I recommend this cup holder to everyone. I wish it was a little cheaper but you get what you pay for.
