I was looking for a 16A plug for a small 1500W heater. The product description here states that this plug is rated for 16A, but when I received the actual item the manual and packaging only clearly stated a maximum current of 10A. I wouldn't risk using it with anything that draws more than 1.1kW of power. I connected an outlet to a small 1kW coffee maker and a lamp. While the plug works well, at least I haven't noticed any overheating. The power monitoring feature is really good. It displays current, voltage, power and total power consumption in kWh. However, I'm not sure how this number compares to the value measured by a household electricity meter. So, in my case, when both the coffee maker and the lamp are on, the current draw is about 9A, which is in line with the ratings. Anyway so far the plug is so good apart from the misleading description this is an honest product.
