The shoes have a strange smell, very similar to marijuana, and I said that we will not wear them in public! but we put them outside and i rinsed them with water and the smell of the skunk quickly disappeared. It was easy for my little girl to close them without asking my help, so I don't agree with other reviews saying the buckles are broken. I see it this way: if the child can understand it, the problem is not with the buckle, but with the fact that man is very entangled in a simple strap. Jelly shoes usually get big blisters and these were so soft and I've never heard a complaint and it definitely lets me know when a blister occurs. Great skunk smell from shoes that dissipated quickly!
