Very good leather, no synthetic. The color is very nice, corresponds to the photo in the product description. It's almost the same shade as my leather placemat so looks like a set - a bonus. Well made, well sewn. The only downside is the leather arrived dry and may have been stored for a while before it was sent to me. It's in good condition, just dry so I'll treat it to keep it in good condition. The info sheet that came with it suggests treating it with beeswax, interesting I've never used that. I've used mink oil before, works well but I'm curious so I'll try beeswax at a stand to see how well it works. Overall nice thick leather, great color, well made. What I don't like, I can only recommend. A bit of luxury on my desk, why not make our working environment more beautiful too?
