These little scissors are great. I had an all-metal folding scissors, probably sometime in the 80's, and the finger holes were tiny and awkward, and too small to be used for anything other than trimming loose threads or whatever. I was afraid they would be flimsy as they are partially plastic but that is not the case at all. They are really strong and I have a feeling they will last a long time. The hinges are a little tight, which is a feature, not a bug; They remain fixed in their unfolded position until you are ready to remove them. They're definitely longer than my old all-metal pair, but don't take up any noticeably more space. The little ridges at the top of the handles that cover the tips of the blades when closed are just awesome. When deployed they give me room to rest my ring finger which gives me a lot more control than my old all metal pair. The blades are tightly hinged and cut through paper and anything else I've thrown at them very well.
