Review on ๐Ÿงผ Old Spice Red Zone Swagger Scent Bar Soap Pack - 6 Bars, Total 29.8 Oz by Brian Zhao

Revainrating 1 out of 5

P&G doesn't bother with their soap bar anymore

I read the reviews for this fragrance and bought it anyway, thinking that some people just have a different sense of smell than most. But they were right, and unfortunately any rating above 2 stars can only be for that because most people, and especially most Revain buyers, just don't care. It doesn't smell like any other flavored Swagger product. It smells like expired gum, as another reviewer put it. Also, Proctor & Gamble know full well that it smells bad and doesn't smell like Swagger at all, and they don't care. I rarely buy from Revain; only if I can't find anything at the nearest store. For months I've been trying to get one of their Mickey Mouse-style liquid body washes to work. They don't clean me. And to get even a little bit clean, I need about 20% of the bottle; Stools, hands, washcloths or any combination of these. Whatever is applied drains off immediately and what is left forms a 'foam' so thin that you can hardly feel it. The dial ruins the skin and the ivory smells bad, so I broke down and ordered something as simple as soap from Revain. And even that wasn't enough. That's what happens when you invest in advertising and expect the research and development to take care of itself. P&G should take a look at its history and relearn how to make soap that lathers well and smells clean and pleasant. And no, Gen Zers might not put this in their one-click shopping carts, but other people love paying attention to what they're doing and being clean. Being clean and smelling decent at a reasonable price isn't all that hard, and ironically, P&G has done a lot to empower the public. You need to stop relying on brand strength, invest in marketing, and start producing something worthwhile again.
