If all you need is an extension cord this is a pretty solid deal, the cord worked well and gave me a bit more length. The problem arose when I tried to connect the microphone to the line as well, it turned out that the shielding of this cable is really bad, and so when you play the sound out loud, it seeps in, I suspect, electromagnetic interference the line into the microphone. So when you use the mic to talk to someone and play something loud like a video, they start hearing it through the mic. I even tried connecting this cable without a microphone and I have the same problem when I try to play audio through the cable. Overall, good if you just want an extension cord, bad if you want to use it with a mic, which is unfortunate as it's one of the few cords this long. which is braided and has microphone capabilities.
