Review on NavePoint 12U Wall Mount Network Server Cabinet Rack Enclosure with Glass Door and Locking Mechanism by Jeremy May

A good shelf of imperfect parts

In general I like it. A few parts were slightly bent, but everything fit well. My front and rear frames in particular were a little crooked so I connected them below and it worked. Also, one corner of the back panel was slightly bent. It's okay, and now that it's all together it's not noticeable at all. I don't know if they corrected the instructions, as some other reviewers have complained, but I found the instructions to be adequate and better than I expected. I started putting the front and back frames wrong, but the warning in the instructions corrected me. The entire assembly took about 2 hours while watching TV. I could do it much faster if I focused on it. The wall mount holds it more securely than I could have imagined. Using the outer hole on one side and the inner hole on the other side, it fits 16 inch cleats perfectly. I would just install it directly into the studs. After initially attaching with screws, I upgraded it to four 1/. 4" x 2" bolts with fender washers. 2 go straight into the tunnels. 2 others come in a latch that I nailed between the studs. stable when you assemble it, but after you tighten the screws, it assembles very well. The side "doors" are lockable removable panels. It's not a safe, but it does keep idle hands away from the box. With the front door open (or removed) and both side panels removed, you can get to everything very easily. I installed a heavy rackmount UPS in a rack and it worked fine. It comes with two reinforcement corners connecting the front rails. on the back rails along the side. You can put them anywhere. I chose to place them where they will support the UPS during its installation and disassembly. It was a good choice as it simplifies the installation and removal of the UPS. I think he should have held normally and not relied on reinforcing corners. (If it fails, it's most likely the UPS mounts, not this rack.) I could post a photo of it loaded with equipment, but it would look fine in my wiring closet.
