I have bought at least 10 different high quality headsets including the acclaimed Kingston X Cloud, best Logitech headsets, Plantronics, other Sennheiser gaming headsets (X360, PC363D, GAME ONE, GAME ZERO), and they are the best in terms of clarity, detail, and warmth. They are basically the same as the Sennheiser GAME ONE but with a better, more detailed driver. Note how all current generation Sennheiser. Headsets, the clamping force on them is pretty high out of the box. However, I have successfully disassembled Sennheiser headsets even to the "breaking point" and out of the 4-5 I've done it with, each has just come loose from a reattached plastic clip and nothing has really broken. In fact, I dropped this and other Sennheiser headsets, sat on them, stepped on them, ripped them out of the audio cable, and taunted them for years after tearing them apart until the little plastic protrusions "fell off (reducing tension drastically)" and I had never a single matrix. I've had a few flickering cords but that was after a lot of abuse and the best part is the cord is easy to replace!
