Update December 26: Well my dog has had his annual check up and his vet and vet said separately that at Blue Buffalo you only pay for the brand name. Even said that many patients came and the blue buffalo was a problem that caused stomach sensitivity! Switching to Purina Pro plan for sensitive skin and stomach was recommended again separately. The vet tech was there before the vet and everything was top secret as she said she didn't know what the vet would recommend but there had been problems in the past. Then the vet comes in and joins her and says much the same thing without prompting. He said dog food brands can put whatever they want on the labels, it's not regulated like human food. Shame my bitch has been taking this for two years but well worth it once her digestion on purines improves. Even when she added the pumpkin to the blue buffalo, she still had issues. When I think about it, she even had a horrible indigestion from blue buffalo to pumpkin - one day she went to the vet for a urinary tract infection and they took x-rays to look for other possible problems and she was so blocked they couldn't look at it look past her chair. It was on the blue buffalo. Pumpkin honestly helped her a miracle. Too bad I didn't think of changing their food sooner. Better than Hill's Science Diet, but that's not saying much. Not a single dog at my local shelter liked the taste of mountain science, and all did better when they gave it up. Still disappointed in the blue buffalo, I genuinely believed the "best ingredients" were bullshit. Wish us luck with Purina, it's more expensive than this at ยฃ16 on Chewy.com but a few bucks LESS than the ยฃ30 order. I'm disappointed Blue Buffalo! I guess I didn't pay for quality after all. Original Review: My dog has a sensitive stomach and what looks like acid reflux. It's noticeably better than the Hills Science diet, but it's still a problem. Smaller pieces of food are easier to manage than larger ones, especially if your puppy doesn't eat right away or quickly. This week my dog visits the vet every year, he may switch brands to help his sensitive stomach, but at least this brand I know is good quality. Blue Buffalo was one of the first big brands to have the best ingredients, and that's worth noting. I'm deducting one star because the price is outrageous if you're on a budget. Bags are twice as big, at Aldi they are half as expensive. I'm paying for the quality, although I understand just a little frustrating. All in all it's still my choice of brand and type of food.
