A fake is possible, but the quality was very good, there were no problems.
Some comments say they are fake Michelin tires. If I knew that, I'd be fine if they were, they wouldn't be driving a land speed record racing car. They might be replicas but they appear to be of decent quality and the diameter was small enough to fit my bikes, the stem goes into a deep narrow hole and worked great.
