I am writing this review before I have had the opportunity to use this light but I have immediate concerns. It looks like a really great flashlight to be honest, it has good brightness and is about the right weight and size, the carving bothers me. The threads feel rough, like there are burrs on them when you run your fingers over them. The reason I ran my fingers over the threads is because it's very difficult to move the bottom when you screw it back on after the batteries are installed. So I wanted to make sure they are clean. The spring pushes the part further away from the flashlight after it looks like it should have fired, bad threads easily snap or criss-cross rendering the flashlight unusable. I have lanterns for the same price but with much better carvings. The reason for the 4 stars and no less is that the light has worked well so far except for the threads and the price has been quite low. I'm just not sure how many times I can change the batteries before threading becomes useless.
