My daughter loves them and I love the way they look. We try not to do things that are too girly, so that's perfect. It's a pleasing lilac-purple color with a subtle sheen woven into the fabric. They do really well in the washing machine when the air dries out. They washed perfectly without the cleaner and stain remover that white shoes need. After a while, the Velcro wears out and the shoes fall off. Nevertheless, we ordered them a size larger because I really like them. You might just want to have a spare pair of shoes, which are probably good anyway if a kid throws up in them at kindergarten (actually, it happened between two of these photos - they wash really well!).
