Bought just in time for our last winter storm. The gloves I received are L/XL. They fit L better than XL. They are comfortable and keep my hands warm when using the snow blower and hand shovel. They were warm enough to make my hands sweat a bit by the time I was done. They would be good for skiing or other outdoor activities. They wrap around the wrist and there is a pull at the top of the glove to keep snow off of it. They're not that easy to tighten with one hand. The fabric is a smooth blue material that is somewhat water repellent. The fabric on the thumbs is more like velor, which is used to clean glasses. The surface of the hand is a rubberized material. It doesn't go to the fingers. Zippered compartments span the full width of your upper arm. You can pick up an ID card or key or RFID lift card, just put your hand on the scanner and you're done (just don't lose gloves!). The zip tabs are large enough to be operated with gloved hands. Overall these are good cold weather gloves from the Champion brand.
