Let me start with a little observation/snark. All filter coffee machines are essentially the same. I've tried about a dozen over the years, ranging from expensive to cheap, and it finally dawned on me that all of these things heat water to over 200 degrees and then drip it onto the coffee grounds. That's all. There is nothing more to see here. The only potential problem may be that the water pressure isn't evenly distributing the water over the coffee grounds. Once that minimum requirement is met, they are all equal. However, I love this car very much. This brews coffee in a beautiful vacuum jug that keeps the coffee really hot for at least three to four hours. It gets a bit iffy after that, but definitely don't use a glass carafe with a heating pad. They spoil the coffee completely in about 30 minutes. This machine has a heater under the thermograph, but it turns off immediately after the coffee is brewed, so don't worry. I see many people complaining that the clock/timer is not accurate. I have no idea what they're talking about. I installed it three days ago and in all that time it hasn't lost or gained a second. It's a bit high so you can measure the opening above the countertop to see if you have enough space. Aesthetically it's just gorgeous and the blue light that illuminates the watch is very nice and functional as it makes checking the time very easy. All in all, it was a very pleasant surprise for a sub-$50 device. I can't recommend it highly enough. I don't think you'll get a better brewed cup of coffee from any other machine at a different (wildly inflated) price.
