the view will be very good with a good magnification - but . . .
The slide ejection usually does not work, the slide gets stuck in the ejection slot. I often have to pick up the device and pull the shutter back out of the input socket.

slides don't always eject easily - frequently have to put a 2nd one in to push out the 1st.
