Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Eogifee Fan9T Ceiling Fan Remote Control: The Ideal Replacement for Hampton Bay Thermostatic Remote Control with Reverse Functionality by Christopher Sullivan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost exact copy of the original manufacturer, but the temperature differs by 3ยฐ

This Eogifee looks like an exact copy of the original Hampton Bay remote control, but without the Hampton Bay logo on the front. The size is the same, the body is the same, the screens look the same, and even the FCC ID and model number printed on the back are exactly the same. The box even had a one-page instruction manual with the Hampton Bay logo on it. In terms of operation, it's pretty much the same as an OEM remote. The only problem I found is that the Eogifee remote is off +3 degrees. This means if the room is 79ยฐF, the remote will read 82ยฐF. This 3 degree difference was fairly constant over the three days that I monitored closely. I've compared it to my Nest thermostat, standalone thermometer and also a non-contact infrared thermometer and it was always about +3 degrees off. This temperature difference isn't a big deal to me, but it's the only downside of a product that closely mimics the design and performance of the original remote. / Logo. The only downside is that it thinks it's 3 degrees hotter than it actually is.

Pros
  • Remote controls
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
