Okay, initially it was easy to set up the system and it was just as easy to view the cameras on my phone. I've had some trouble getting a link to the desktop software and figuring out how to view recorded events and had a couple of cameras that I had to replace, but. After spending some time getting familiar with the menus and working with SMONET's customer support to swap out my cameras, I really like this system. I have upgraded from a 600TVL system and am able to use some of the old cameras on my new system. (There is still the old image quality that the old cameras provide) I am considering making a YouTube video to show some tips on how to use this software more easily. I haven't seen one for this type of wired system yet. After looking at a newer camera system (4K) I bought it for the cost and I'm glad I did. SOMNET support sent me new replacement cameras. I'll tell you later how it goes. But I have to say, that the customer support (once you give them the right information) is very good. They can assist you after 6:30pm PT, I live on the East Coast so it is after 9:30pm. So be aware of that. Emails will be answered the next day. I recommend this system. The cost was very affordable and if you can run cables in the attic and install cameras at home the day before, this system is for you!
