After reading the bad reviews I was very reluctant to purchase these braces but I'm glad I read the four and five star reviews more have paid attention. I just received this orthosis today, picked it up in my bedroom in front of the mirror and was able to put it on standing up without any problems. One of the bad reviews said you have to lie on the bed, this is the easiest way to put it on. What the hell are they talking about, I don't know because it was easy to put on. I have gastric sleeve surgery on Monday and my girlfriend bought braces from JCPenney and she paid another $10 and it's not nearly as nice. It was comfortable in it and I wanted to make sure it didn't itch because I had read that you have to wear work clothes underneath and that wouldn't work for me. I didn't find it itchy at all. However, I didn't wear it for more than a few minutes. I put it in the sink, gently washed and dried where it is now and will take it to the hospital with me. I found it to be the right size for what I needed. However, I didn't measure around the hips, I measured around my stomach, which is what I needed and it was perfect. And I love that they still fit when I start to lose weight because the Velcro can be worn anywhere depending on the material the brace is made of. I like this stand very much. I will update if I find any problem
