I bought my first Apple product a few months ago. When my iPad arrived I found that I forgot to buy a case to protect it. So I looked at different cases and ordered these. I loved it and it's very sturdy and definitely protective. Unfortunately, having looked at so many cases, I didn't realize when I bought this one that there was no space to put a pen in it. At the time I had an inexpensive non-Apple stylus that I used. So the lack of storage space wasn't a big issue for me. I used this case until I finally broke down and bought an Apple Pencil. Due to the cost of the Apple Pencil, I no longer felt comfortable with a case without a dedicated stylus slot. If I hadn't bought the Apple Pencil I would still use this case. I have kept the case and will probably use it again if I can find a way to store my pen, pen strap or similar in it. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone who has an iPad that doesn't require a stylus.
