15 years ago I was given several hundred family slides from the 50s and 60s. Back then it was very expensive to print them all. They sat in a drawer the whole time until I came across this simple yet effective way to convert slides and negatives to digital format. At first I doubted the quality would be that good, but after my first try I was very impressed with the ease of use, clarity and high quality of the copy. A few tweaks with the edit function on my iPhone and the colors are real again. My only gripe, and why only four stars, is that the light is only 24mm x 36mm. These old slides are 35mm x 35mm, so part of the image is cropped at the top and bottom. The size is clearly stated on the packaging and in the description, I just didn't understand the real size of these old slides. I'd love to buy another 35x35mm but they don't seem to make it. We plan to get the whole family together this weekend and rediscover these old photos together. I haven't downloaded the app yet and I don't need it for regular slides. However, converting 35mm film negatives to positives requires conversion software. Highly recommended!
