I may have used it outside the box but I'm very happy with how it works. I live in a pretty small space that forces me to reuse things I own. I just don't have any free disk space. I used this bracket and an aluminum T-bar to hang a small LED projector from the ceiling. The T-rail allows the projector to slide in space and the Arkona mount allows me to reorient the projector's beam. I aim the projector at my desk instead of a monitor while I work, and point it across the room at the wall to create a beautifully immersive theatrical performance at night. In other words, I often change the position of the Arkon mount. After about six months of daily repositioning, the aluminum body proved durable, showing little to no signs of wear. The articulation range is excellent too, allowing me to direct the beam where needed. The three points of articulation are easy to tighten and loosen, and each is very secure after tightening. At least for my stupid use it was a fantastic product.
