That's a good price for those extra sockets for your garage. I personally wouldn't use them to power anything 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (who knows how secure such an adapter might be), but for my applications it's fine. Remember that when the outlets are (of course) on, you have to turn on the switch and the lightbulb is on. In the past I've only used these adapters when I could run the power cord off the lamp as incandescent bulbs can melt the coating on the cord, but with LED it's no problem to just let the cord hang down. Not a long-term solution, but if you just need a quick extra outlet, these things are fine. The lamp sits about 2 inches lower with the adapter.
