I wanted to try an LED headlight for my moped, and this one works, but I doubt the claim of 1400 lumens. I replaced a 35/35 watt incandescent (rated 650 lumens), and the LED bulb doesn't put as much light on the road. The high-beam pattern projected is OK, kind of a horizontal oval up high with the low beam also on down below, but the intensity is low. Looking at the headlight, it has that pure-white LED color and looks bright and eye-catching. I will leave it in for daytime visibility, but if I want to ride at night, I don't think it will work. If installing it in an AC system as mine is, remember that you also need to add diodes at the light, or a bridge rectifier to the system. (Well, tried it at night and it definitely does not put out enough light to see the road.) "One star"
