Good sized and strong aluminum cover. Slim profile slides well under pizza. The handle is strong and thick, but the back half is almost too wide. I have fairly large hands and this suits me, but my wife needs to use a narrower grip face. We both think it's best to use both hands for extra stability. The folding handle is a great idea and a handy storage feature, but there are design issues. The grip screw has a flat, thin head that flattens it and prevents it from snagging on anything. The problem is that it's not a carriage bolt, so there's nothing to lock it and keep it from turning when you're trying to loosen or tighten the knob. You have to keep your finger on the head of the bolt to keep it from spinning. The grip that came with the skin I received barely fits the bolt. It's very difficult to get the threads right and for the first four or five turns the knob is very loose and wobbles everywhere. The thread is not stripped but the hole in the handle is too big for the screw. Even when you finally manage to thread the knob onto the screw, it doesn't sit completely flat on the shell when tightened. I found an extra doorknob for a cupboard door that I had in my study and although it's a bit small for the openings, it works much better than the handle that came with this bowl. Other reviews don't mention any problems with the pen, so I think I just got a defective one. One more thing, the pen has that musty smell that a lot of products that come from across the sea seem to have. The smell goes away over time, but even after washing the pen still had a slightly musty smell. UPDATE: After learning about the defective product, the seller promptly shipped a replacement free of charge. I appreciate their diligence and quick service in resolving the issue. The interchangeable handle and screw are easy to connect and tighten on the handle as they should. I originally gave this product 3 stars but now I'm giving it 4. I'm holding back 1 star because I think the carriage bolt and slightly different handle shape would make this pizza even better. Despite these minor flaws, this is still a great product that works as advertised.
