I sprained my ankle badly, it was swollen and bigger than a softball. I bought it to keep it running while I work as a nurse and around the house. I felt like I could use it and tighten with ease depending on the pain and swelling and that might be comfortable. My problem is that their website description says silicone but their material is actually LATEX! I couldn't figure out why my skin was about to get so sore until I checked the packaging. As I am allergic to latex this is completely ridiculous given so many people develop allergies to it and this company should consider revising their description or simply adding a clause that this product contains latex. I was able to use it with my toe in between and fold the brace back and it's comfortable. However, I am concerned that even with such a measure, there will be a wound if there is contact. Since I can't use the product as advertised due to the painfulness of the ingredients, I'm giving this part 1 star. Using my unintended way works and is pleasant, but using the product properly makes my skin literally peel.
