Fits Kia Sportage 2015 high and low beams with no installation hassles

Kia Sportage 2015 - Both high and low beams use H7 bulbs. After reading the reviews I also got the Tomall H7 adapters in case I have trouble installing them. As it turned out, these lamps are ideal for Kia H7 cartridges. It's important to read the instructions as they say to remove and install the plastic adapter first, then install the bulb. They also advise orienting the bulb so that the thin end is pointing in the same direction as the tab on which the LEDs are laid out horizontally. It is possible to misalign the lightbulb, so be aware. This ended with a "power wire" at the top of the headlight. The low beam, which is a projector, is a bit trickier because it's an outside light, but it's not very difficult to install. Standard dust caps *might* fit, but my problem is that the fan can't move the heat. I was looking for a suitable replacement rubber but couldn't find the right one. I ended up using a shovel to poke a 1" hole in the standard dust caps. It was big enough to be able to pass through and plug in outlets from outside and this allowed the fan to ventilate the room. I just have to be careful when washing the motor as I noticed that the stock socket has bare wires probably because it's designed to stay behind a dust cap. I guess it's possible to wrap the wires and insert them into the high beam housing to fit the stock dust cap, but I was concerned the wires would interfere with the fan. There is not enough space in the low beam housing and the cooler and fan protrude further than in the high beam. The beam pattern was pretty close to standard halogen, but I double-checked the alignment just to be sure. Overall the lights are the correct shade of white which I wanted to match with the DRLs as I didn't like the stock amber lights. I now have a full LED since installing a Cougar 881 in my nebulae. Lights up bright enough, no problems. As for durability, time will tell. I tried to eliminate the possibility of overheating with vented dust caps.

Pros
  • High score for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
