I bought a 6 station hub for Apple devices. It comes with 4 Lightning, 1 Micro USB and 1 Type C cables. The hub sits firmly on my desk and easily supports my 3 iPads and 3 Fire tablets. All cables, including the power cord, are on the same side of the hub. You can place the hub so that the cables hang down from the back of a desk or cabinet. (Even short cords look ugly hanging around.) Make sure you install the plastic baffles securely, ie make sure each "snaps" into place. You'll need to put some pressure on it to snap it into place. When the dividers are securely in place, they move only slightly and easily support the iPad and its keyboard covers. All of my iPads are 3/4 inch thick (including the keyboard covers). As long as they are online, the hub is always on. A switch is just a light switch. This is not a power switch. It turns the blue LED on or off, that's all. When the switch is on, the rear bulkhead will always be illuminated in blue. In addition, each charging cable connects to a connector located under one of the other 6 plastic dividers. When the cable is connected to the device, the corresponding plastic disconnect will light up blue and stay on until the device is fully charged, then turn off. Happy with hub. It's much easier to manage cords, keep multiple devices charged, and see (through blue light) when they're fully charged and ready to go. Also, this hub charges at a faster 2.4A on all 6 ports. UPDATE: It's now January 2021. Hub is still working great for us.
