I bought this about 7 months ago and installed it above my garage facing the street to improve the security camera's night vision. It sucks! It was like 4 feet by 4 feet of infrared radiation. I don't give bad reviews about things unless they're junk, so I just removed this infrared lamp and put it in the garage. I had to replace security cameras in my yard last week and found that I really don't like the night vision on these new cameras. It looked like night vision was a donut of illuminated night vision. If there was nothing in the night vision "donut hole" then it wasn't visible. In desperation, not expecting much, I installed this infrared light in my yard to try and improve my cameras night vision. To my absolute disbelief, the entire field of view of my cameras glowed with infrared radiation! Apparently the lights in my driveway, where four cars park each night, caused the infrared light to reflect off the shiny surfaces and prevented the infrared light from scattering and illuminating the area. It was my fault all along. Just ordered another one. If you want to increase the night vision range of your surveillance cameras, you should order one of these!
