I used to have an Intuos Pro 5 Small before switching from interactive tablets to interactive displays (Cintiq 27, Mobilestudio Pro, Surface Book). I recently decided to try graphics tablets again and the choice was this one or an Intuos Pro like my last one. Decided to take the plunge although I was skeptical that the quality might be below par. My thoughts so far - CONSTRUCTION: strong and light. There is no flexibility. It doesn't look like a fake but more like a complete standalone product. IMAGE SURFACE: This is my favorite at the moment. Wacom looks like a frosted tooth, while surface devices are like markers on smooth glass. It's right in the middle. The pen glides smoothly with a slight touch of feedback, making long and short strokes appear consistent. PEN: Below the waist it is identical to a Wacom pen. Looks like someone just replaced the top half with lightweight plastic. The result is a lighter pen (which doesn't bother me), but no eraser function (would be nice, but doesn't bother me). PEN HOLDER: Someone said the donut holder was cheap plastic, but I'm happy. to let you know that he is actually handsome and strong and has no problem holding his pen upright. - KEYS: The eight keys have a slight lateral tilt, but they have solid feedback and a nice click that I would take any day touch keys. -DIAL: I had a dial with my Surface Book that I never used. So it was a tough choice between this and the cheaper H1060P without a dial. I'm glad I chose this model. The dial turns out to be in the right position to integrate naturally into my workflow. It's a flick of the wrist (if you're right-handed like me) to access the bottom shortcut keys by holding the watch face under your thumb. The clicks are nice and fluid. Using it to change brush size has changed my art more than I thought. SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE: The driver was straight forward. I just went to their support page and downloaded from there. Windows 10 recognized the tablet right away, but I had to install the Huion driver for pressure sensitivity and all the extras. On Crete, which I use most of the time, I had no problems. No lag or noticeable line wobble. Settings and shortcuts can be changed on the fly thanks to many options, which is nice. ACCESSORIES: I was impressed by the number of additional features the tablet has. Not only does it have a wireless adapter, it also has a USB cable to connect to a computer, as well as adapters should you need them. The kit also includes a cute little painting glove. And the packaging is top notch. I'm glad I went this round with Huion. Let's see how it holds up over time. Should I have any serious glitches I will definitely update this review.
