Review on Game console Sony PlayStation 4 Slim 1000 GB HDD, black by Amphai Sangchang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

I am a PC gamer with a lot of experience - about 15 years. Started playing with Jagged Alliance 2, Soldier Of Fortune, Project IGI 2 and other classics (oldies here?). At the university, I was dusting in the local CS 1.6 team, went to all sorts of tournaments in neighboring regions. In a word - I did not see the reasons for the existence of games on consoles. Gradually, I began to notice that PC gaming bored me. Decided to upgrade a bit. Two and a half years ago I bought a "kid" GTX 1060 6GB, which, coupled with the Core i5-3570K, gave an excellent picture on Full HD - budget and angry. But the music did not play for long, the "annoyance" did not pass. I started to come to the conclusion that I was just growing out of games. This made me a little sad, because video games have always been a pleasure. An interesting thought came suddenly. Before the new year, I saw a PS4 Slim 1TB bundle (Zero Dawn + GoW + GT Sport) for a promotion, which flooded all stores and which in a couple of weeks was completely swept away from all counters, warehouses, from where it was possible. Since finances to some extent allowed me to buy a prefix, just to try it, I decided. As a result, I haven’t got out for a month now, I go to bed at 4. Horror, but how cool. I went through the first 3 Uncharted, I go through The Last Of Us, I replay GTA V, which I scored on PC. It went as it should. If someone is limited in finances, there are a lot of ways to save them - reselling and exchanging discs, sales, pooling. But you need to be aware that exclusives or top-end novelties, even after a few months, will fall in price by 20-30 percent maximum (this is 3-3.5k). In general, the experience was a success. If someone, being a PC-boyar with experience, begins to feel inside that interest is disappearing, I boldly advise you to try to "switch" to another camp. If someone is just deciding whether to buy a PS4 or a PC, be sure to try both options before buying. PC is desirable to find better. Well, in general, I realized that the hat of the PC console is an absolutely pointless exercise. The market dictates its terms. Added February 6: excellent flight, good luck to everyone! :)

Pros
  • - Value for money / quality / interactivity / a whole lot more. First of all, we must be aware that gaming is now an expensive pleasure, even on a PC, even on consoles. Buying a PS4 for 25k and whining that games cost 4-5k is just as stupid as whining that a normal PC costs 70-80k, not to mention builds on top-end hardware. I had the opportunity to sell an old computer and buy a much more modern one, but I decided to see what it was like on the other side of the barricades, and I did not lose. Cardinal changes in the perception of the gameplay, more difficult aiming on the stick, a kind of challenge have borne fruit in the form of a bunch of pleasant minutes. I decided to give up on graphics to get access to a bunch of games that I had missed over the years, and this also did not fail. If you have reached the point where graphics are less important to you than gameplay, atmosphere, story - feel free to take the PS4. If the graphics are very important for you (and I understand such people perfectly and respect their point of view) - this will be a mistake. By the way, the PRO-framework will also not give such a picture as even the average (by the standards of 2022) assembly on the GTX 1070. Personally, I have a "threshold" picture quality, above which I am already OK. PS4 perfectly passes this threshold, everything suits me. Age, probably. I'm in my 30s for that matter :)) - Exclusives. Although in 2022 there are not very many announced. But if you're switching to console now, you're in luck. Even Uncharted 2, where the graphics are already old, I really liked, although there is no replayability there. The Last Of Us - generally top. Well, further down the list. It's fair to say that this is one of the main points that keeps the PS4 viable for such a long time. But this does not negate the fact that they can and, moreover, should be played. - Added February 6th: PLEX! No SMART TV, no rotten online cinemas like OKKO TV, MEGOGO become absolutely (!) unnecessary after setting up the PLEX media server. Settings for 10 minutes, joy for months.
Cons
  • - Brake interface. This is a somewhat annoying drawback. I don’t know what’s in it to slow it down like that, but it’s annoying. Apparently, firmware ates do not help. But it does not twitch all the time, sometimes. In general, for me it is not critical. - Slow connection to PS Network servers. Store is loading slowly, for example. Also not critical, in general. - Added Feb 6th: It's not really a downside because someone doesn't use it at all, but I'm talking about PS Plus. For those who do not know, let me remind you: this is a subscription that makes it possible to play online, gives additional discounts on some games and provides the right to download 2-3 new games per month for free, which are the same for everyone. For example, in February it is Hitman: First Season and For Honor. So, a combined subscription like XBox Game Pass + Live Gold (these are two separate subscriptions, if anything), which opens up access to a bunch of games for the entire subscription period and allows you to play online, but with different levels of access to games for different subscription fee per month. Here - 2-3 games, which are not always interesting. In January there was Steep, which generally liked 1 out of 10 people. There is no perfect subscription on XBox, for that matter. Those guys swear that Game Pass does not allow you to play online, but Live Gold does, but those free games that are given there every month can be thrown into the trash (delete or not install). No one has the perfect subscription. Even when PS Now reaches us. Maybe something like Origin Access Premier can be attributed here, because no one can forbid playing on the Internet on a PC :D But on a PC, as we know, you can’t play exclusives and someone might just not be interested in playing on a PC . The PS4 ends up with a pretty good combo of online and free games every month, but don't be surprised if those games end up being mediocre. - Lack of backward compatibility. I wouldn't mind playing a couple of things with PS3.
