This is a very poor quality cable and the cable I received only worked intermittently which made my experience terrible and cost me more money due to a botched DVD burning process that resulted in a lot of DVD media being thrown in the trash. It seems to work but eventually it stopped working so I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it working again. Also, the cable length is very short which puts the DVD drive in an awkward position, look for a higher quality product.
