I found this cage very difficult to assemble from the start because it was so difficult for me to separate the parts. The instructions were TERRIBLE. They should come with a dozen zip ties and valium for the poor guy who was assigned to build this thing! The first step tells us to "roll out the cage by lifting both side and end panels vertically section by section", which is almost impossible. You really have to disassemble the thing to put it back together, so much so that you think you're going to break it. There were so many latches and hooks that got mixed up. It was hard to tell which hooks were supposed to be there and which were part of the package that needed to be untied. The main hook on the bottom that you have to open/close to remove and clean the tray is obviously a manufacturer's fault. I had to take a pair of pliers and adjust mine to be usable. There is NO way when this cage is simply stacked as nothing is properly aligned. Eventually, large gaps appear in several areas, and the entire block doesn't feel secure at all. I solved this problem by using some zip ties to make it more stable. I have seven little wildly adopted kittens and there's no way I want them to hurt their paws by getting stuck in the cracks! I had a really hard time installing some of the shelves as the unit doesn't line up, I actually had to force it into place. All in all, this is a cheap cage. When creating this cage, the manufacturer did not consider the interests of the animal. They were looking for the cheapest way to produce this thing to get as much money as possible, I raise the kittens and pay for everything out of my own pocket except for medical care. Let me tell you that buying food for 7-12 feral kittens doesn't come cheap and I don't like being ripped off for your $100 junk! Midwest pet homes are nothing but scams!
