I've only used this once to clean a huge hot tub that came with a new home. I'm a tall person with long arms and couldn't reach the opposite side of the tub. I'm no spring chicken and basically this tub looked like a broken hip waiting in the wings. I didn't care. But Covid isolation does something to a person. This sponge on the pole really did the job of cleaning, its shape fits well in corners and the extension of the pole makes it easy to get to the other side. It was also a good sponge. That surprised me. It was in perfect condition after the first (and so far only) use. Additional sponges are a great addition to the set. How to change the sponge for a new one, I did not look, but so far it has not been necessary. I was able to clean the attached sponge and let it dry in the sun and it's perfect. I use Amway products which are pretty gentle on everything. I have not used a sponge with harsh chemicals. I'm glad I bought this sponge on a pole
