I bought xs for my little Pomeranian puppy. It weighs 1 pound 12 ounces. It won't suit him for long. I was hoping it would be a bit bigger he just had to say goodbye to his mum and sister and I was hoping it would work like a thunder shirt for dogs afraid of loud bangs. give him extra comfort. They had no colors available other than pink in a very small size. I am very impressed with how well made this cardigan is. High quality. I'm glad I bought it, although next week it might be too big for him if it helps his heart, now it's worth it. I have ceramic tile and it's winter now and this floor is getting really cold. Unlike what he sees in the picture in the enclosure, he is running around the living room. but he pees on his bedding, not in the cage. So I leave the drawer door open and put his blanket inside. I have booked an adorable bed from Revain who will be here Tuesday hugging the puppy. I am very happy with this purchase, apart from the color. By the way, it is one piece, there are no Velcro fasteners on it. There is no way to expand it, if it gets small, it will be small. I hope this has helped you decide if the extra small size is right for you and if this is what you need. When I read reviews I get frustrated when sometimes they don't state what size is perfect for their dog. .Update: I ended up taking it off him because I had a hard time putting it on him as he was one piece and quite small. Sorry I removed the tag so I can't resell. It was almost too tight for him, but if it had velcro it would be perfect. I had to peel it off and I struggled with having to cut it off if I left it on for a few days.
