I'm reviewing the product for the following purchase purposes: - Essential: Android and Chromebook charging, USB peripherals (stereo audio) - Nice to have: Ethernet, SD card Work with critical functions as the Pixelbook does not always charge. If the Pixelbook is running when I plug in the hub, it charges. When he sleeps he doesn't charge. Another hub that always charges my Pixelbook whether it's asleep or awake when it's plugged in, as does the Pixelbook's built-in charger (obviously). Didn't work for me as the hub doesn't reliably cover the basics. Here's a hub that covers the basics of charging my Pixelbook properly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073X4V5FF/ (60W) but who knows; Maybe it's unreliable on other devices that the hub I'm reviewing now supports well. Other users might be interested in the main video, which I haven't tested at all. Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to get yourself a video hub to cover "important to them". I tried to get this cheap hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QQ11BP6/ with video but less pretty video and I only use it for charging and disconnecting USB peripherals. Didn't work with Android. Android kept getting confused about whether it should be powering the hub or being powered by it, throwing up complex port mode switching notifications that didn't work as documented. Ultimately, I was unable to play any audio through the hub. If I could rate USB-C myself, I would give it a maximum of two stars. Now it's a mature ecosystem, but it still brings a lot of unreliability into a landscape of tech devices that was already ten times too unreliable. It's also crazy that I have to spend $200 to charge a $250 device and plug it into my stereo. And that's not even counting the undiscovered vulnerabilities that are probably hiding in overly complex protocols: you can see how the main processor should interact. to work with a charging hub, but only sometimes that there is a target for Chinese spies. Also, there are issues with using one port for all these different purposes, because if you think you're plugging in a charger, who knows what you're actually plugging in.
