I had several spare hard drives from computers that were no longer being used. Instead of getting rid of the great HD, I decided to convert it to an external HD. Installation was easy. The case opens, you install the HD, close the case, and then connect the HD to your computer with the cable that came with it. The transparent body also adds a bit of style. It's pretty nice to see HD inside the case. If you have a working replacement hard drive and don't know what to do with it, turn it into an external hard drive and get more out of it.
