Update: I bought this drill a few months ago and absolutely love it. But since I didn't have the opportunity to use it in other conditions, I only gave it 4 1/2 runs. But after using it to build a vegetable garden, make a garden gate, and do a few other projects that require both a drill and screwdriver, I'm now giving it five stars! Used one battery for 4 1/2 hours both drilling holes up to 1/2 inch and driving screws into hardwood. Surprisingly, this little tool worked really well! I left both batteries charged, but it felt so good to keep reaching for this balanced tool that could keep going when I needed to. It has two things that aren't perfect: the keyless chuck must actually be rotated, or the drill or bit could come out. But it's not uncommon for all these types of tools. The only other problem is the directional switch. Sometimes it can move when you don't want it to. But again, I don't think it's too rare. But the pros certainly outweigh the cons: I bought this drill after trying other more powerful drills. This drill has two clear advantages over its competitors. First, the quality of the cartridge is superior in that it is well centered. one is not 100% centered, but clearly better than the others. The second advantage is the overall dimensions and weight with the battery installed. Since the battery is designed as an extension of the handle, it is well balanced and not too heavy. The things that deduct a star are the battery life and the reversing switch. The battery will drain a bit with larger tasks, which will affect runtime, although it really isn't that big of an issue since you have two and they charge quickly. Also, it's hard to complain too much about this issue as the battery size is also a positive, so it's really a compromise. The reverse switch is easy to move when the drill is not working and because when it is high on the handle it is easy to accidentally hit. But the motor is very powerful, it does a great job drilling, and leaving it in drill mode will drive drywall screws into hard wood, so it performs well for its size.
